Tribute To Someone We Called MUM

Semalam kami dikejutkan dengan berita yang disampaikan oleh Tatum sewaktu kebaktian di gereja (sekitar 4 p.m.) Tatum memaklumkan bahawa ibunya dimasukkan ke hospital di Kota Kinabalu disebabkan darah beku di otak. Doktor memaklumkan bahawa ibunya akan menjalani pembedahan untuk mengeluarkan darah beku pada keesokan harinya (Isnin) ataupun hari berikutnya. Tatum dan adiknya terpaksa mengambil penerbangan balik ke Sabah pada pukul 7.30 malam untuk berada di sisi ibunya.

Aku, Pamela, Cleopatra dan Ivy Karangkas mengambil kesempatan untuk menghantar Tatum dan adiknya ke lapangan terbang LCCT. Sepanjang perjalanan ke lapangan terbang saya dan teman-teman berusaha untuk menceriakan suasana dan menghiburkan Tatum dan adik-adiknya dengan pelbagai cerita.

This morning I received a sad news from Pamela, saying that Tatum mum have passed away. Ohh... it must be heavy for her.. but I hope all of us should pray for her and family... GOD!! Provides this family with strength and we love her abundantly as friend, as sister and as servant of GOD.

I may have little memories with your mum but I always happy to be with her presence. I remember her loving voice, friendly smile, motherly attitude. I enjoy her cooking especially her delicious Inava (hope I pronoun it right) and how she took the effort to cook for us, I really enjoy eating her Inava as I remember my late mum cooking. I am respecting her as she took the effort to experience her children daily life as a student in Shah Alam and she enjoyed every bit of it, her eyes and reaction showing her gratefulness to GOD as she is happy that her children is surrounded with people who care for Tatum. The memento of her will be treasured as priceless gem that glow with bedazzling light who significantly brought an impact for us. Be strong as GOD is with you, be brave to embrace the bright future ahead of you as HE will never leave you in the dark and have the courage to say goodbye.

Sudah menjadi tradisi bagi University Library, untuk mengadakan Majlis Hari Raya sempena bulan Syawal. Cuma kali ni, University Library tidak lagi membuka pintu untuk department-department lain. Biarlah kami bermaharajalela dengan kelazatan makanan. (Department lain pun tak pernah jemput kami bila ada 'rumah terbuka', cuma kami sahaja yang sibuk menjemput orang. Kononnya nak merapatkan ukhwahlah. Tahun ni University Library buat rumah tertutup. Unit masing-masing membawa juadah yang dimasakan yang disediakan dengan kehebatan air tangan chef-chet terkemuka. Unit aku menyediakan air. Aku dengan rela hati belajar resepi baru dari Pn Kamariah. Maka terciptalah minuman yang digelar Mock Tail, gabungan air soda, susu segar perasa strawberry, buah-buahan dalam tin, susu sejat, air gula, sumi dan ais.
